Coming Together for Feast 2011

Adelaide’s Queer Cultural Festival, Feast has revealed this years Festival Poster in style at the Colonel Light Hotel, overlooking Light Square, which will once again become the Festival’s Hub from 12 – 27 November.

Reflecting the theme for this year’s Feast – Coming Together,  the poster was produced by Adelaide Graphic Designer Rachel Lobban from rara studios.

The design incorporates cut out style people in a circular shape represent the coming together of community around a central point, a hub. The vibrant rainbow colours reflect the diversity of the queer community.

Feast’s Creative Producer, Kerry Ireland chose Coming Together as this year’s theme, as the Festival Hub in Light Square provides a central point for the queer and wider community to celebrate, congregate, create, feel safe and savour the feast of arts and community events that make Adelaide’s Feast Festival unique and respected nationally and internationally.

This year, Feast will utilize the whole square, add a new intimate venue, The Camp Site, once again erect circus marquees with the flexibility to house a wide range of performances and expand the Festival program to include additional daytime events.  The Festival program will be launched in September.
