The GALTA AGM is fast approaching.
The AGM is being held this year in Cairns, QLD. In order to take advantage of discounted airfares well in advance, please note the following outline of events being held over the AGM weekend.
Friday 14/09/07 – GALTA networking function from 5:30pm
Saturday 15/09/07 – AGM 1pm
Sunday 16/09/07 – Tropical Pride Festival from 12 noon

Cairns will host its first Pride Day on Sunday 16th September, at the Tanks Art Centre on Collins Ave, from 12 noon till 9 pm. The community has been very hard over recent months to bring the community together and help promote the region.
Local Businesses together with Queensland Heath services, plan of having a day full of entertainment and a wide range of stalls at this years Pride day, with the day coinciding with GALTA AGM, it will give great opportunity for businesses to showcase to the Cairns community (approx 5,000 people) their business and also a great opportunity to network with key members of the Gay and Lesbian Tourism industry.
Over the past weekend (14th -15th. April, Cairns hosted its first Gay Film Festival with large numbers attending, it proved to be a very successful weekend. Cairns will also be hosting Queens Ball on 9th June and a men’s Retreat weekend on 24th – 26th August.

Adelaide:
Feast – South Australia’s Gay & Lesbian Arts Festival will be held between the 10th & 25th of November. Galta has provided a booth at the renowned Picnic in the Park on the last day. There member’s brochures and collateral have been displayed and distributed.
