After a few years absence, GALTA returned to Australia’s West Coast to participate at Perth Pride’s Fair Day held on Sunday 27 September 2009.
A glorious day greeted the thousands of queer folk who attended, as Russell Square was filled with a variety of stalls and a diverse line-up of entertainment on the performance stage with GALTA amongst it all.
GALTA’s new Managing Director, Rod Stringer and Secretariat Rohan Shearn were kept busy throughout the day responding to questions from potential travellers, giving away members promotional collateral and having people enter the competition provided by Horizons at Peregian.
GALTA looks forward to participating at Canberra’s Spring Out Festival at the end of October, followed closely by Adelaide’s Feast Festival in late November.
