Last weekend Board members from around Australia gathered in Brisbane for Pride. The weekend also incorporated a cocktail party on the Friday Night and a Board meeting in Noosa on the Sunday.
The Triple “Gaylist” of Brisbane joined the GALTA Board at Imagination (Spring Hill) for socialising and networking. Those in attendance also enjoyed a presentation from the upcoming Gay Games scheduled for Cologne in 2010. Around fifty people attended this annual event.
GALTA continued their Queensland presence on Saturday at the annual Brisbane Pride Fairday – Musgrave Park. Supporting its members by handing out information about G & L accommodation and tourist spots alike, it was also the first opportunity the organisation had to showcase its new brochure and postcard. Both of which lead travelers to the GALTA website where they can find all the information they would ever need about Gay & Lesbian Tourism in Australia.
Sunday took the Board to Horizons @ Peregian Beach (Noosa) for a Board meeting prior to members returning to their respective corners of the country. One of the significant agenda items at the Board meeting was setting dates for the year’s Pride and Festival attendances and setting its annual budgets.
