Billy Tea Safaris is a family owned and operated company (est. 1981), we run 4WD personalised tours to Daintree / Cape Tribulation and Chillagoe Caves and Outback We have custom built 4wd vehicles air conditioned for passenger comfort and to withstand some of the areas that we operate.
We are the longest established 4WD day tour operator to Cape Tribulation/ ‘Bloomfield Track’ beyond Cape Tribulation. “ There is no substitute for experience” . Our company prides itself on its informative tours and we encourage questions, as we have no timetable as such, we allow time to stop for photos and explain any inquiries your clients have.
The Chillagoe Caves and Outback tour gives an insight into the Tablelands and Outback around the Cairns area.
Billy Tea Safaris has been a long standing member of Tourism Queensland (TQ), Tourism Tropical North Queensland (TTNQ), foundation member of Far North Queensland Tour Operators Association (FNQTOA), members of the Australian Tourism Export Council (ATEC), our Marketing Manager is on the committee for the Cairns Tourism Association (CTA) and we are an Accredited Eco Tourism Operator.
We were the winner in 2002 .2004,2006,2007 and a finalist in 2005/2006 of the “ Significant Tour Operator “ in the prestigious Tourism Tropical North Queensland Awards. We have been finalist in The Queensland Tourism Awards for 2005,2006 and 2007.
We are accredited as an Advanced Eco Tourism Tour Operator and Green Leader by the Eco Tourism Association of Australia. As environmental sustainability is an important part of everybody’s future, Billy Tea Safaris does its absolute best to preserve the areas in which they operate and to ensure that visitors to this region are aware of the importance of Eco Tourism.
Billy Tea Safaris has the ability to provide personalised tours for both small and large groups. We can customise a tour to suit your passengers needs. If groups are travelling with a guide/interpreter we will gladly offer the interpreter/guide travel with us free of charge.
